About Anne F. Hoff, Certified Advanced Rolfer and Advanced Craniosacral and Visceral Work Practitioner
I have been involved in alternative health since the early 1980s, first studying acupuncture and shiatsu in China and Japan. For the past seventeen years, I have focused on sophisticated systems of bodywork – Rolfing®, craniosacral work, and visceral work – inspired by their transformative potential and refined touch.
I have helped clients of all ages optimize posture, find pain relief, recover from auto and work injuries, improve sports performance, decrease stress, and increase somatic awareness and well-being. I love to see people’s excitement and relief when something finally works to get them out of pain or open up the energy of transformation in their lives.
I have more than 2200 hours of study in Rolfing, craniosacral, and visceral work combined. My Basic and Advanced Rolfing certification is from the Rolf Institute. My craniosacral training includes both biomechanical and biodynamic approaches and was undertaken with the Milne Institute, the Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America, and osteopathic teachers. My visceral manipulation training has been with leading European and U.S. teachers. I find the body fascinating - there is always more to learn - so I remain committed to professional development through regular continuing education.
I have for many years been involved in editing and contributing to Structural Integration: The Journal of the Rolf Institute and am currently the Editor-in-Chief. The journal is for members of the Rolf Institute, and is also available for subscription to the general public.
I practice in two primary locations:
Seattle - Phinney Ridge area (near the zoo, between Green Lake and Ballard)
Port Orchard, WA – on the Kitsap Peninsula between Gig Harbor and Bremerton / Silverdale.
