A note on fees:
Setting fees is challenging, particularly in a helping profession. I balance my wish to help as many people as I can with the economic realities of the cost of living and the cost of doing business.
The cost of Rolfing SI sessions in the greater Seattle areas varies from about $130-$200. For that fee, session lengths will vary from 60-90 minutes. The level of experience of the practitioner and the amount of additional training beyond basic Rolfing SI will vary greatly.
Although I am at the high end of the experience tier (in practice more than 20 years), have advanced training in multiple modalities, and do longer sessions - always a full 90 minutes - I try to keep my fee in the median range. I price toward the middle because I want more people to have access to my work. I do longer sessions because I find that complicated patterns extend through the body and I want to cover as much ground as possible in each session.
If you have genuine need, I can offer a reduced fee. Please email or call ahead of booking a session so I can better understand your circumstances. Some types of situations where I have offered a discount in the past: people in minimum-wage-no-tip jobs, single mothers with low incomes, full-time students without parental support, fixed-income seniors in subsidized housing, etc.
All sales are final and non-refundable except as noted below:
*No refunds on Rolfing ten-session series after the third session or after 45 days, whichever comes first. A refund request must be received in writing within one week of your third session, or within 45 days of purchase, whichever comes first. If this condition is met, unused sessions are refunded under the following terms: 1) a $50 service fee is deducted from the refund amount to cover credit card processing fees and administrative time; and 2) to avoid abuse of package discounts, refunds on unused sessions will be given only after applying the full standard single-session price to already used sessions. If for some reason you are not able to complete the Rolfing Ten Series and are outside of the qualifying refund period, you may apply the unused sessions toward another modality that I offer – such as craniosacral or visceral work – or you may transfer or gift the unused sessions to another person within one year from the date of purchase. Such transfers are final and may not be transferred further.
**No refunds or transfers on three-session intro packages.
If you cannot make your appointment, please give me at least 24 hours’ notice so that I can fill your time. If you cancel with less notice, the full session fee is due (or if you have purchased a package, one of those sessions will be considered used). If you have a genuine emergency that requires cancellation, exceptions are considered provided this is not abused.
Returned check fee:
There is a $40 charge for any returned checks.
Gift certificates are available for bodywork sessions. Sales are final; no replacements for lost or stolen certificates. It is requested that any sessions covered by the gift certificate be used within one year.
Birthday and other special discounts:
I may from time to time at my unique discretion offer discounts to past and current clients. Such discounts are only applicable to the standard single-session fee. Discounts cannot be combined or transferred and must be used within 6 months of receipt (if personal, such as a birthday discount), or as specified (if a special limited-time offer).
I do not bill any insurances. I will provide you with a receipt for your payment if requested. Service code and reason for service codes and information are provided as a convenience to both client and carrier and are not meant to be construed as a diagnosis or treatment of any symptoms. If you require a diagnosis, that must come from one of your medical providers. Each 90-minute session will customarily include time that is not hands-on work, such as check in, consultation, visual assessment, education pieces & exercises, and checkout. Thus, I have one standard receipt form which is coded for a 60-minute minimum amount of hands-on table time. I do not customize forms to meet individual requests or slight variations. If copies of any additional office records are required, they will be provided upon a release of information form. A service fee may apply for records requests as permitted under state law.
