I often share videos of bodies doing amazing things, and this is the latest one.
In some ways, it calls to mind this one, of acrobatic gymnastics, where the gymnasts have to be acutely aware of each other's positioning and movement. Here, the dancer has to do that with an inanimate object, her hoop, which she at times dances with and at times becomes one with.
The bodywork I do in Seattle, particularly Rolfing® Structural Integration, helps with embodiment and mind-body integration – something I personally strive towards. It's obviously years of practice and discipline, as well as inborn grace, to reach this dancer's level.
