ALL THE FINE PRINT - Please read this as it applies to any sessions you book.

We live in a world free of polio and smallpox outbreaks because of vaccination. For our world to be free of COVID-19, we need mass vaccination. Otherwise vulnerable populations are at risk, the virus will continue to mutate, and we'll never get off this particular wheel of samsara.

Because the pandemic is ongoing and bodywork is up close and personal, I require:

  • a pre-session screening call for all new clients, as well as returning clients who have not seen me in the past 6 months
  • proof of vaccination and booster if you are due (a photo of your vaccination card)
  • use of an N95 or KN95 mask during your session

Starting in January 2022, I will be doing regular at-home COVID antigen testing to make sure I am testing negative. The omicron variant is far more transmissible, even through those of us who are fully vaccinated. Depending on your life circumstances, I may ask you to also do a rapid test before your appointment.

2022 Fee Schedule (payment due at time of service by cash, check, or credit card)

     Single 90-minute bodywork session: $195

Diamond Approach® sessions: Please contact me as the work is by application.

Returned check fee: There is a $40 charge for any returned checks.

A note on fees: Setting fees is challenging, particularly in a helping profession. I balance my wish to help as many people as I can with the economic realities of the cost of living and the cost of doing business. My fee is reviewed annually, and may be increased if needed to reflect any of these: industry standards; changes in the cost of living; increased business costs; and/or increased costs for covid safety measures. I keep my fee in the general range for my profession although I do longer sessions than most practitioners and am one of the most experienced practitioners in town (in practice more than 25 years, have done 2 advanced Rolfing trainings, have advanced training in cranial and visceral work, have more than 10 years of training in mind-body-spirit work). I always do 90-minute sessions because I find that complicated patterns extend through the body and I want to cover as much ground as possible in each session.

Policies

I require payment at the time of booking for new clients, and at the time of service for returning clients: For a cancellation with more than 48-hours notice, you can apply a pre-payment to a new session time or get a refund minus the processing fee that PayPal charges. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice there is no refund except as noted below.

Cancellation: I enforce a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. I have a waiting list of clients wanting an appointment soon. If you cancel on short notice, I cannot book someone else. The only exception is an emergency or, in these times of Covid-19, if you have symptoms or have been exposed to someone ill.

Gift certificates: Gift certificates are available for bodywork sessions. Sales are final; no replacements for lost or stolen certificates. It is requested that any sessions covered by the gift certificate be used within one year.

Illness: If you are ill, please reschedule. I will not work with anyone who is sick/contagious as I must put my own health and that of my other clients first. There is flexibility in my cancellation policy for illness if you notify me as soon as possible and reschedule.

Insurance/Receipts: I do not bill any insurances. I will provide  you with a receipt for your payment if requested at the time of service. My standard receipt may not include all of the information your insurance company wants. The reason for service is provided based on what you tell me and is not meant to be construed as a diagnosis. I have one standard receipt form which states that I book 90-minutes and that there is at least 60-minutes of hands-on table time, as each session will customarily include time that is not hands-on work, such as check-in, consultation, visual assessment, education pieces & exercises, and checkout. I do not customize forms to meet individual requests or communicate with insurance companies. Except for receipts at the time of service, I do not provide copies of records unless required by law.

Booking and Communication

The best place to book is online, on this website. I will respond to phone calls and emails, but with online booking available, I cannot guarantee that any time offered by phone or email will still be available by the time you respond.

Please do not text me for appointments. It's fine to text to tell me you are running late for an appointment, but do include your name in any texts.

If you plan to do a series of sessions, I suggest booking at least your first few appointments as my practice is busy. I suggest a frequency of every 1-2 weeks for a Ten Series; for pain management, you may want to consider weekly sessions.

I keep a short waiting list for cancellations. If you would like to be on that list, please reach out through the contact form on this website and include what days and times of day you would generally be able to come in as well as your email and phone number and the best way to reach you.

You will receive a confirmation message when I accept your booking, please be sure you put that address in your contacts so that you receive appointment reminders. Also, please confirm that the booking day and time match what you put in your calendar. You are responsible for full payment for any sessions you do not show up for if you enter them wrong in your calendar or forget. You will also receive a reminder message 3 days ahead of your appointment.

Day of Appointment

Please be aware that my office is a home office with no waiting room. If you are early, please wait in your car or on my covered porch. Once it is your scheduled time, please ring the doorbell.

If you are running late, please call, email, or text me. I am not able to go past your scheduled time if you are late.
